Day 42 - Some of these are out of sequence, but this
is a picture prior to laying out the pool design.
Day 42 - This is the same layout with the pool design and
the small amount of crush and run spread out throughout the deck area. |
Day 42 - Hot tub at far end, Lounge area on left. Huge wall in front.
Day 42 - Swim out from deep end on right with pool house for entertainment.
There will be PLENTY of deck area surrounding this back yard.
Day 43 - Pool builder workers Mike and Chub discussing
a day's worth of work.
Day 43 - And again. |
Day 43 - Just another truck-load of dirt. I'd like to
know how many truck loads went out of here.
Day 43 - Mike hard at work digging. He was very impressive
in such a cramped space. |
Day 43 - Mike certainly knows how to run that dozer.
He went in and out throughout the morning just picking up load after
load.
Day 43 - Switching from the dozer to the TrackHoe to load
the truck. Chub then dumped the loads down the road. The dump loads became
an unwelcome sight to the owner where we were dumping since we wouldn't
have time to spread it for 2 weeks, which I had promised. When I was ready
to spread it, he had already gotten someone else to spread it. |
Day 44 - A clean dug area starting to look like a pool.
Day 45 - A few pictures missing of digging out the 2nd
tier. As I said there were many high spots on the very end where the
gravel is laying in the 2nd tier, resulting in building the 1st tier
up one more block to compensate - No worries there. Just wish I had
been there to discuss what I needed.
Day 45 - They left one mound of dirt and took the remaining
out. This will be spread when everything is complete. I used it plenty
to get rid of some more dirt where I didn't have enough crush and run
base.
Day 46 - It was a constant juggling of vehicles to move
around the back yard. The boat remained in back most of the time, but
got concerned with a couple heavy rains since it was pointing down hill.
No problems at the end of the month though. That might be the next big
project - a BOAT HOUSE.

Day 46 - The dozer keeps getting lower. They're done
with digging out the pool area.
Day 47 - They started laying the plumbing. The curved pipe
at the bottom is the drain pipe for the deep end. The two in the middle
are drain plugs. They are plugged full-time unless you have no water in
the pool. They are then used to level the hydraulic pressure so the pool
doesn't float in the ground. The top one is the return for the main part
of the pool. |
Day 48 - The pipe coming up on the left is an extra
that isn't plumbed into anything. It's used for a pool cleaner if you
would use one with water.
Day 48 - There is a return located at the end of the lounge
area on the right. There are a total of 3 returns - Lounge area, spillover
from spa and closest pipe on the bottom in this picture. |
Day 48 - After the pipe was laid, they started laying
reebar for the cement support. Most of this construction was very sound.
The pipe shown is the return for the far end of the lounge area.
Day 48 - The flex pipe going up is for the skimmer. The
entire pool is being formed out. |
