Day 17 - We begin another day. Lana working on cleaning
the Celtik wall and I'll begin digging.
Day 17 - In the back of this picture is our pond pump house
which has flooded several times. With the renovation, we're going to move
the pump house into the new pool house and place it under the shed as
you'll see. This is in hopes to avoid any further damage to our pump.
Little did we know, it wouldn't be the last of our problems. |
Day 17 - After a lot of heated digging, we're bragging
about the progress.
Day 17 -She needed to get a little taller. |
Day 17 - Once again, here is our pond/patio area.
Day 19 - Now it's time to dig out the area for the pump
house under the shed. Another HOT day. |
Day 19 - This is a view from the existing pond pump
house.
Day 19 - The pump house will be directly below the shed.
Enough digging for the day. |
Day 23- The pump house is built with treated lumber
and i built it above the hole that was dug entirely prior to building
it.
Day 23-A close-up shot of what needs to go down approximately
4 feet from where it is. |
Day 23- I got one side down and it got stuck. It was VERY
HOT once again and took a little time to determine how to get it in.
It was a tight fit.
Day 23- Brute force is what it took, but it actually
fit perfectly.
Day 23- Pondering for a few minutes to determine what
is next. I guess it's time to pour a little cement.
Day 23- I poured approximately 3" of concrete floor
to have a clean area to place all the pumping system.
Day 23 - This project is done for the day.
Day 23 - A well done hand dug hole for our existing plumbing
to be re-routed. |
Day 23 - The end of the day. Have a little lumber left
over to continue working on that floor.
Day 28 - I sometimes need to step back and think about
it for a while to figure out what to do next. |
Day 28 - The first set of lines for the pond are in
and the pond is running.
Day 28 - Have the entire floor complete and the pond pump
house is behind the boards on the left. |
Day 28 - Getting the back wall up first. It's the easiest
and want to see how it goes.
Day 28 - After another successful day of work, time to
relax in our new pool house. |
Day 28 - With the inspection crew.
Day 28 - With the BOSS!!! |
Day 28 - Tying down the corners.
Day 28 - Think I did it right? |
Day 28 - A view from our new pool house
Day 29 - The walls keep coming along |
Day 29 - Getting a bunch of supports to begin getting
the poles ready.
Day 29 - Did I do that right? |
Day 29 - It was easily in the 90's full-time so water
breaks were a welcome event.
Day 29 - Almost completely done with the framing. |
Day 29 - Construction zone. Gravel in back, boat in
the way, all of the garage doors open and sawing away.
Day 29 - Lana's dug hole. She gave up after this one. I
only had 15 more to dig. |
